Site Security Manager
Siemens - Newark, DE
Objectives:
  • Develop and implement operational security strategies to safeguard the company's employees, assets, and facilities.
  • Investigate security breaches and reinforce appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • Interface with contract services security management to assign operational tasks and maintain guard force performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security operations into business processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update emergency response plans to ensure security staff understand their roles, responsibilities, and equipment used in performing their duties.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence through continuous training and process improvement.
Your Tasks:
  • Participate in developing and implementing security plans and procedures focused on protecting personnel, assets, and information.
  • Manage the relationship with outsourced security personnel, ensuring they possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and equipment for effective performance.
  • Contribute to the development of cross-functional emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Manage access control systems, keys, surveillance equipment, and other security technologies to ensure proper function and effectiveness in conjunction with the core Physical Security Team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
  • Investigate security breaches, incidents, and violations, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
  • Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends, and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in security management, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software, and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems and CCTV surveillance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to security and safety.
  • Proficiency in security assessments, audits, and investigations.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage the relationship with the outsourced security team.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks before they pose a problem.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Physical and mental ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Security Manager (CSM).
  • Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management.
