Join our winning team as a Training Specialist in Niagara Falls, NY. In your role as a Training Specialist, you work in conjunction with Leadership to coordinate the development and implementation of the plant training program to ensure compliance is achieved for all training policies and requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Develops and maintains training material, visual aids, and certification tests associated with the Niagara Plant's qualification process
  • Delivers and facilitates technical and other job-related training to Operators, Engineers and leaders
  • Ensures successful progression of learning for trainees through the use of audits and check-ins, both in the office and in field settings
  • Owns ShiftConnector tool locally, including management of Compliance Task Tool (CTT) items in ShiftConnector
  • Provides development opportunities on core competencies for Operator/Loader Trainers to improve overall consistency of training
  • Ensures all required employee training records are up-to-date and maintained
  • Tracks compliance and communicates status of training items to employees, teams, and Leadership to deliver 100% training compliance for the Niagara Plant
  • Reviews and updates the Niagara Plant Training Matrix to meet regulatory compliance standards and learning objectives for the site
  • Conducts surveys to measure the success of the plant training program, and implement revisions to the program to drive overall improvement
  • Act as interim Manufacturing Leader when necessary for various departments
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience; chemical industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a training role preferred
  • Working knowledge of maintenance work processes
  • Ability to mentor hourly operations personnel and engineers
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - verbal and written
  • Good time management
  • Well versed in EH&S requirements

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $82,000 - $105,000. This salary is only an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
