Position Scope:
As the Director of Corporate Accounting and Reporting, you will be responsible for managing and leading the monthly consolidated close process and technical accounting activities for the Company.

This role is 100% in-office based in Core-Mark headquarters in Westlake, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth area).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for facilitating month end close.
  • Reviewing Balance Sheet consolidations, including adjusting and re-classifying entries.
  • Responsible for reviewing monthly allocations and accounting and reporting related to benefits.
  • Responsible for the financial systems team and actively guide and participate in financial system enhancements, testing and deployments to ensure business needs are met timely.
  • Responsible for corporate accounting teams to include intercompany cash, benefits, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
  • Oversight of the technical accounting for new transactions, contracts and agreements.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of account analysis/reconciliation process.
  • Ensure that all account analysis/reconciliation procedures comply with GAAP.
  • Responsible for the monthly review of financial results and variance analysis as compared to goal, last year, year-end and prior quarter and resolution of all outstanding issues.
  • Responsible for the coordination of Quarterly reviews, Interim and year-end audit test work conducted by our external auditors.
  • Manage and develop a team of talented accounting associates.
  • Ensure internal controls are functioning as intended.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Must have at least 5 years of managerial accounting experience with a publicly traded, medium to large size organizations

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the retail or distribution industry a plus
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, experience with SAP and Blackline a plus
• Active CPA license is strongly preferred
