Senior Infrastructure Systems Support

Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision perform remote and local support for systems, servers, workstations, switches, access points, phones, mobile devices and IoT (Internet of Things) devices throughout the organization. Working within a team researches, develops, documents, implements and trains new and existing solutions within the environment. Working directly with end users, software support and vendors assist with training and implementation as needed.

This position requires knowledge of Windows Server & Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft 365 (all included applications), Apple & Android OS, Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory), SCCM, Ticking Systems (ServiceNow), Hyper-V, VMware, Terminal Services, and TeamViewer. A good understanding of networking principles is required.

Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team, while also assuming individual responsibility for their work. This position requires some physical labor.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • On-site problem triage (break/fix), resolution, and recording/reporting
  • Imaging devices using PXE boot, Autopilot, USB drives, etc.
  • Troubleshooting problems using KT Method
  • Single point of contact for all on-site IT initiatives & projects
  • Asset management
  • Maintaining technical documentation
  • Researching and learning new and existing technologies
  • Individual and team project management


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.


Minimum Qualifications:
    • Five or more years relevant work experience
    • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with both technical and non-technical users
  • Knowledge:
    • Active Directory, Azure Backup, Azure Virtual Servers, DNS, Exchange, Hyper-V, Intune, Microsoft (Office) 365 (All Apps), Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Mobile Devices, Network Protection Services, Printer Services, SCCM, SharePoint, Teams Devices, Terminal Services, Veeam, VMWare.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to learn quickly using Google or technical manuals, Call-Tracking System, Desktop Administration, End-User Support, Hyper-V Administration, Microsoft 365 Administration, Server Administration, VMWare Administration.


Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology
    • CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+
    • Microsoft Certification
    • Cisco Certification

Additional Considerations:
  • Travel Expectation: Up to 15% including international travel to Canada.
  • This position will be at the Plant in Allentown, PA.
  • This position will require you to physically move around the plant a lot; this is not a desk job.
  • Must be available for escalations during an on-call rotation: nights, weekends, and holidays; occasional travel to out-of-town locations will be required.
  • Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.


Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Approximately 60% of the work is performed in an office environment. 40% of work may involve being in the agricultural or manufacturing environment.
